(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 2, 2014 at approximately 9:20 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Gore Road at Townline Road in Puslinch Township.
At that time and location officers investigated the driver of a 2012 Ford pick-up truck that entered the program. Upon speaking with the driver police detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. A Roadside Screening Device test was administered which resulted in a fail.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
Luis MEDEIROS age 46 from Cambridge has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 5, 2014 to answer to the charge.
