(SOUTH PORCUPINE) – An officer with the South Porcupine OPP has charged a Quebec driver with Driving Under Suspension stemming from a routine traffic stop today.
While en patrol, the OPP officer had occasion to stop the driver of a pickup truck for an alleged driving violation on Hwy 101 in Stock Township (east of Timmins).
Based on the routine investigative steps taken by the OPP officer, it was determined that there is a suspension in effect in the driver’s name in the province of Ontario.
Luc BOISVERT, 45, of Mansfield, Quebec, has been charged with Driving While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
BOISVERT is required to attend Provincial Court in Timmins on October 17th to answer to the charge laid against him.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
