Low Bridge Warning

This is an urgent appeal to commercial vehicle operators particularly those who operate full size tractor trailers. Operators are advised to avoid Wyndham Street in the downtown core – specifically the portion of Wyndham Street below the newly opened CN Bridge.

In the past two days, traffic officers have attended to a number of collisions involving tractor trailers striking the beams below the bridge.
Warning signs in advance of the bridge allow for a maximum clearance of 4.0 meters.

Drivers of these motor vehicle combinations are advised to change their routes and avoid this section of Wyndham Street. City officials will be enhancing signage already posted.
There have been no injuries reported in these collisions however damage estimates are in the thousands of dollars.
