Loved One Left In Crown Royal Bag Stolen

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is reminding the public to protect their property and valuables against would be thieves after a theft from a vehicle was reported at a Campbell Avenue, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, October 23, 2015 in the early morning hours, unknowns attended the address and gained entry into an unlocked vehicle located on the roadway. Once inside, unknowns removed a quantity of Canadian currency and a purple velvet Crown Royal bag which contained a small Crown Royal bottle with the cremated remains of a loved one.

The owner is very upset and would appreciate the bag being returned.

The Norfolk County OPP is continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
