(Township of Adjala-Tosorontio, ON)- On Wednesday the 31st of December 2014 several officers from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting Festive R.I.D.E (reduce impaired driving everywhere) spot checks throughout the communities they police.
During one of the R.I.D.E. spot checks, at 9:45 p.m., on County Road 13 in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio an officer detected the odour of alcohol on the breath of a driver. After further investigation, the driver of the grey Chevrolet was arrested for having ‘Over 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood’.
The male driver, 60-year old Louis CIMICATA of Islington, Ontario was charged and is scheduled to appear in court on the 22nd of January 2015 in answer to his charge.
