LONG WEEKEND COLLISIONS AND IMPAIRED DRIVING

(Lanark County, ON) – Between 6pm on Valentine’s Day, Friday 14th February 2014 to 6pm Family Day Monday 17th February 2014 officers from the Lanark County Detachment , Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), among hundreds of calls for service, dealt with eleven motor vehicle collisions and 5 separate Impaired Driving incidents.

Officers conducted a series of R.I.D.E. checks throughout the Detachment area all weekend.

I total six people were charged with the Criminal Code of Canada offences of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Alcohol per 100 millilitres of Blood.
