(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a two vehicle collision on Highway 24 north of Oakland Road in the County of Brant at approximately 9:40 p.m. on 03 October 2015.
OPP investigators attended along with the Norfolk County Ambulance Service and found that a GMC Sierra pick-up truck was stopped at the temporary traffic lights due to bridge repair when it was involved in a collision with a Chevrolet Blazer.
The GMC Sierra pick-up truck was being operated by a Norfolk County man who was not injured.
The Chevrolet Blazer operator 29-year-old Lindsay BEEMER of Blandford Blenheim Township was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:
Driving with ability impaired by alcohol
Fail or Refuse to Provide Breath Sample
She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to her charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
