(Township of Drummond North Elmsley, ON) -Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a field in the Township of Drummond North Elmsley after a light aircraft made a landing on the afternoon of Tuesday 26th November 2013.
Police were called at 12.42pm after the pilot had walked to a close by Spa on Canal Bank Road. The area is on the outskirts of the Town of Perth.
It was established that the pilot had made a precautionary landing after some fumes had entered the cock pit. There was no damage to the plan on landing.
No one was injured.
After an inspection of the aircraft the pilot made a successful take off and continued on to an airfield near Smiths Falls.
