Licence Seized – Vehicle Impounded

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On July 7, 2012 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a Huron County OPP officer conducting RADAR patrol observed a grey Dodge Journey traveling southbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway at a high rate of speed. The officer activated the RADAR and a speed of 136 km/h was obtained; 56 km/h above the posted 80km/h speed limit.

Tariq HASSAN-ASSAF, male, age 19, from London, ON has been issued a summons for “Racing a motor vehicle”. He has a scheduled appearance at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich on September 4, 2012. His driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
