The battle to free the one square mile of Wingham from it’s armed occupiers could be near an end, and Wingham could once again thrive and prosper with a liquid real estate market. The announcement that the OPP will be “allowed” to offer pricing to police Wingham has seen a surge in interest in the Wingham real estate market creating waiting lists of renters and buyers.
If Councillors want to pay double for a service so their buddies are guaranteed sunshine list paychecks they should pay the difference out of their own pockets. If council was buying $900 hammers from one of their buddies it would be clear there was corruption and someone should be going to jail. Paying double for Wingham policing is just as corrupt and costs Winghamites $500,000/year, someone should go to jail.
Councillors that have forced the double priced Wingham police on Winghamites should be held to account for the decreased property values they caused and for driving our Community to the brink of failure.
