Leslie Steven KAZIMER – Impaired Driving, Drive While Suspended, etc

(TAY TOWNSHIP) – On August 16, 2016 at 10:37 a.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of an impaired driver at Hoyt Ave and Robins Point Road in Tay Township, ON.

Police located the vehicle a short time later on Richard Street in Tay Township, ON. As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged the male driver Leslie Steven KAZIMER (age 58) of Mississauga with:

Driving while ability impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Drive while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available contrary to the Liquor Licence Act

Owner operate motor vehicle – no insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

Driver – fail to wear seatbelt contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused was given an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice September 1, 2016 in Midland, ON.
