Leanne KNAPP – Trafficking Drugs

(Prescott,Ont.) – On December 20th the Prescott Office of the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were conducting an R.I.D.E. check on County Road 2 at Merwin Lane, in Augusta Township.

At approximately 02:00a.m., officers at the R.I.D.E. check observed a westbound motor vehicle make a U-turn prior to the check point. Officers stopped the noted vehicle and upon further investigation, located and seized a quantity of marihuana. Leanne KNAPP, age 26 from Brockville Ontario was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule II substance, CDSA 4(1),

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule II substance, CDSA 5(1),

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000, CC 354(1)(a).

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on the 27th of January, 2017.
