Lawrence KENNEY – Over 80

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Tuesday January 31st, 2017, at approximately 8:10pm officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an impaired driver on County Road 2 near 2nd Dug Hill.

Officers located the vehicle on Tripp Blvd in Trenton. After an investigation it was determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Lawrence KENNEY, 37, of Hillier Township has been charged with:

Care or Control While Impaired (Alcohol), Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Care and Control Over 80mgs, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor, Section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act

The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on February 16th, 2017.
