(TOWN OF FERGUS, ON) On Monday September 2, 2013, at approximately 11:26am officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet that was travelling west bound on Belsyde Avenue in the Town of Fergus in regards to a Highway Traffic Act violation. Upon speaking with the driver, police discovered that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Larry Sawchyn aged 51 of Orangeville has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on October 11, 2013 to answer to the charge.
