(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Friday morning May 10, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in Mitchell were contacted by four West Perth residents who reported their vehicles entered.
Investigation revealed that the entries took place sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Thursday May 09, and 7 a.m. on Friday May 10, 2013, to three UNLOCKED vehicles parked at residences on Toronto Street East in Mitchell.
A pickup truck was entered and a Dell 15 laptop computer was stolen.
A pickup truck was entered and a “Sonim” hard cased cell phone was taken.
An unlocked vehicle was entered and a leather case containing photographs was removed. An expensive cigar was also missing.
Residents are urged to remove valuables from their vehicles and to lock them so as to avoid these opportunistic crimes. Anyone having information about these thefts is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous
