(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Wednesday October 1st, 2014, at approximately 11:00am Quinte West OPP responded to an assault in progress in a parking lot on South Trent Street, Frankford. The police investigation revealed that a 23 year old male, and a 20 year old Female, both from Trenton, assaulted a 53 year old male at that location. The 53 year old male was their landlord. The dispute began as a verbal disagreement over property and quickly escalated into a physical altercation. The landlord sustained minor injuries. The 23 year old male and 20 year old female were both arrested at the scene by the Quinte West OPP. They have each been charged with one count of assault. The male and female were released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in November at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
