(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) -On Sunday November 3, 2013, at approximately 6:50 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Constable Kirk MacDonald was conducting moving radar on Wellington Road 109 near Concession 7, Wellington North Township.
The officer observed a 2002 Mazda travelling westbound well above the posted speed limit. Police measured speeds up to 138 km/h on radar in an 80 km/h zone.
Kyle THOMAS age 25 of Oakville has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 18, 2013 to answer to the charge.
