(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On June 4, 2015 just before 11:30pm Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a robbery that had just occurred at the Mac’s on Hanes Rd. in the town of Huntsville.
Members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Muskoka Canine along with the Huntsville detachment members were in the area in hopes of locating the male suspect without success. Members of the Muskoka Crime Unit also attended to assist in the investigation. No injuries occurred as a result of the robbery.
The investigation led to the identification and arrest of Kyle Scott JENKINS (24yrs) of Huntsville. On June 5, 2015 the accused was arrested and eventually charged with Attempt Robbery, Robbery with Intent, and Assault with a Weapon under the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held for a bail hearing and will in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Monday June 8, 2015 to answer to his charges.
