(BANCROFT, ON) – In the spring of 2016, members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were notified by several persons who believed that they had been defrauded by a local business. The involved citizens reported paying for lumber that was not delivered. Officers were able to link the investigations to other reported cases in Renfrew and the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment areas.
Kyle BANCROFT, 49 years of Burnstown, Ontario, is charged with four (4) counts of fraud exceeding $5000. The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on 9 August 2016.
