(WAWA, ON) – On Thursday November 24, 2016 at approximately 12:04 am members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment had occasion to stop a motor vehicle in the Community of Wawa for a traffic violation. During the stop police noticed that the female driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result Kristy HENWOOD (29) of Wawa was arrested and charged with the following offences;
Adult Driving with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada,
Adult Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to section 145(3) of the C.C.C.
A 90 days ADLS suspension was issued.
The accused was released from custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Wawa in January of 2017.
