Kristian MOLKENTHIN – Impaired Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a white Honda driving erratically in the Caledon area. The vehicle was observed to be weaving all over the road and crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic. An officer from the Caledon Detachment located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Upon speaking to the male driver, the officer observed signs of impairment and the driver admitted to having consumed medication and alcohol. The officer determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired and placed him under arrest.

As a result of the police investigation, Kristian MOLKENTHIN, 51 from Oro-Medonte Township was charged with the following offence: Drive while Ability Impaired – motor vehicle (Alcohol and Drug).

The 90 day Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and the involved motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on February 2, 2017.
