(Douro Dummer Twp) On March 9th, 2016, Peterborough County Officers were on routine traffic patrol on County Road 4 in the Township of Douro Dummer. At approximately 4:00pm, officers observed a vehicle traveling above the posted 50 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was stopped and a subsequent investigation resulted in the following:
Charged: Wayne KNAPP, age 45 years of Selwyn Township
Charges: Sec 128 Highway Traffic Act – Speeding 83km/h in a posted 50km/h zone”
Sec 53(1) Highway Traffic Act – “Drive While Under Suspension”
Sec 7(5)(a) Highway Traffic Act – “Fail to Surrender Permit”
Sec 3(1) Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act-“Fail to Surrender Insurance Card “
Mr. Knapp is scheduled to appear at Peterborough Provincial Court on May 19th
