Kitchener Man Facing Drunk Driving Charge – Name Released

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On January 20, 2017 at 1:35 pm, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complainant on a motor vehicle in the Town of Fort Frances.

Officers located the motor vehicle on the 900 block of Kings Highway 11. The driver, Justin LEBLANC, age 27 years of Kitchener, was arrested and transported to OPP Detachment for breath tests. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for the mandatory 7 days. The driver was subsequently charged with,

-Driving with More than 80mgs. of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

-Having Over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

-Possession of a Controlled substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

As well as charges under the Highway Traffic Act, and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

He will appear in Fort Frances Provincial Court on February 27, 2017 to answer to the charge.
