Killaloe OPP Weekly Release

During the week of the 04 April 2016, to the 10 April 2016, there were 73 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

There were eleven motor vehicle collisions, seven were animal related.

There were four domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 04 April 2016, to the 10 April 2016. There was one domestic related incident involving criminal code charges.

Threats, Impaired, Breach of Probation Charges

On the 10 April 2016 at approximately 6:17 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jason Golds Sgt. Mark MacKisoc, and Constable Brandon Cassibo attended a residence in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. to investigate a reported domestic disturbance. Subsequent to officer investigation, a 43 yr. old male has been charged with Impaired Care or Control, section 253(1)(a), Over 80 mgs, section 253(1)(b), Breach of Probation x 2 section 733.1(1), Uttering Threats, section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held for a bail hearing, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Impaired Charges

On the 09 April 2016, at approximately 11:26 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Lapierre and Constable Jason Golds conducted a routine traffic stop to check on driver sobriety in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. The driver of a GMC pickup truck, 76 yr. old Bernard PARSONS of Addington Highlands Twp. has been charged with Impaired Operation, section 253(1)(a) ,and Over 80 mgs, section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The vehicle was towed and the licence suspended.

Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 07 April 2016 at approximately 3:33 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Lapierre attended John Street in Madawaska Valley Twp. to investigate a two vehicle collision. Both vehicles sustained major damages and were towed from the scene. An 80 yr. old female driver from Madawaska Valley Twp. has been charged with Failing to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway, section 136(1) (b) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
