During the week of the 13 June 2016, to the 19 June 2016, there were 86 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.
There were six motor vehicle collisions three, were animal related.
There were five domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 13 June 2016, to the 19 June 2016. There were two domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.
Mischief, Breach of Recognizance
On the 14 June 2016 at approximately 5:13 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Brandon Cassibo investigated a domestic call for service, on Shingwak Inamo, Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation. As a result of police investigation, a 24 yr. old male from Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation has been charged with Breach of Recognizance x 2 section 145(3) and Domestic Mischief section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held pending bail court, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The identity of the accused has been withheld to protect the victim.
Forcible Confinement
On the 13 June 2016 at approximately 8:47 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jason Golds received a domestic call for service on Tramore Road, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 60 yr. old male from Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. has been charged with Forcible Confinement, section 279(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held pending bail court, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The identity of the accused has been withheld to protect the victim.
Stunt Driving Charge
On the 15 June 2016 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Whitney OPP Constable Keith Jones was operating moving radar on #60 Highway, in Algonquin Provincial Park. A Hyundai was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. As a result of police investigation, 20 yr. old Jean-Luc BRAZEAU of Whitby was charged with Stunt Driving, section 172 of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was issued a summons to appear in court, Killaloe. The licence was suspended, and the vehicle towed and impounded for seven days.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On the 19 June 2016, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Kyle Fabian received a call of a motor vehicle rollover collision, on Round Lake Road, in Killaloe, Hagarty and RichardsTwp. The driver received minor injuries. The vehicle was towed. The investigation is continuing.
