Killaloe OPP Weekly Release

During the week of the 22 August 2016, to the 28 August 2016, there were 101 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

There were six motor vehicle collisions, three were animal related.

There were eight domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 22 August 2016, to the 28 August 2016. There were three domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.

Assaults

On the 24 August 2016 at approximately 9:35 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Chris Teasdale received a domestic dispute call for service on Baptist Church Road, Bonnechere Valley Twp. Subsequent to police investigation, a 62 yr. old male from Bonnechere Valley Twp. was charged with Assault, section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with conditions, court date, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

On the 24 August 2016 at approximately 7: 23 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jordan Bullis received a domestic dispute call for service, on Round Lake Road, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. Subsequent to police investigation, a 43 yr. old male from Stoney Creek was charged with Assault, section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with conditions, court date Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Collision

On the 24 August 2016 at approximately 3:13 a.m., Killaloe OPP Sgt. Bruce Sawbridge received a call of a single vehicle collision involving a transport truck and a moose on Highway # 60, South Algonquin Twp. There were no reported injuries; the transport was towed from the scene.

Mischief

On the 28 August 2016 the Killaloe OPP received multiple calls for service involving mischief to mailboxes. The location of the mailbox damages centered on Opeongo, Fourth Chute and Foymount Road, Bonnechere Valley Twp. Police are continuing to investigate these occurrences and are asking the assistance of the community in identifying those persons responsible.
