Killaloe OPP Weekly Release

During the week of the 31 October 2016, to the 6 November 2016, there were 82 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

There were six motor vehicle collisions, five were animal related.

There were four domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 31 October 2016, to the 6 November 2016. There were three domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.

Domestic Charges

On the 5 November 2016 at approximately 8:15 pm, Killaloe OPP Constable Jon Anderson received a domestic dispute call for service on Needham Street, Madawaska Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 32 yr. old male from Madawaska Valley Twp. was arrested and charged with Assault section 266, Sexual Assault, section 271, Assault Causing Bodily Harm section 267(b), Mischief, section 430(4), Uttering Threats, section 264.1(1) (a) Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke, section 246(a), Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 3 section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held pending bail court, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The name of the accused was been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Utter Threats Charge

On the 4 November 2016 at approximately 5:00 pm, Killaloe OPP Constable Jordan Bullis received a domestic dispute call for service on Round Lake Road, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 53 yr. old male from Killaloe , Hagarty and Richards Twp. has been arrested and charged with Utter Threats, section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with Conditions. The accused was issued a court date, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Assault Charges

On the 5 November 2016 at approximately 7:15 am, Killaloe OPP Constable Jeff Turnbull and Constable Jordan Bullis received a domestic dispute call for service on Stafford Street, Madawaska Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 25 yr. of male from Madawaska Valley Twp. has been charged with Assault x 2 section 266, and Assault with a Weapon, section 267(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with Conditions. The accused was issued a court date, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Theft

On the 2 November 2016 at approximately 1:04 pm, Killaloe OPP Constable Jeff Cole received a theft call on Queen Street, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. An orange Ariens snow blower was stolen from this location. The incident remains under investigation.

On the 4 November 2016 at approximately 9:42 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jeff Turnbull received a theft call on Cottage Lane, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. A twelve foot white StarCraft aluminum boat was stolen from this location. This incident remains under investigation.
