Killaloe OPP Weekly Press Release

During the week of March 27, 2017, to April 2, 2017 there were 95 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

There were ten motor vehicle collisions, eight were animal related.

There were two domestic dispute calls for service, and no domestic disputes resulting in criminal code charges.

Assault Charges

On Thursday March 30, 2017 at approximately 4:52 pm, Killaloe OPP Constable Mike Recoskie and Constable John Thurston received a disturbance call for service on Highway 60, North Algona Wilberforce Twp. As a result of police investigation, 30 yr. old Angela HIGGINSON of South Algonquin Twp. has been charged with Assault. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with Undertaking Conditions, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.

Collision

On Friday March 31, 2017, at approximately 10:02 am, Killaloe OPP Constable Julie McPeak received a single vehicle collision call for service on Highway 60, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. A vehicle had stuck several guard rails causing damages. A 28 yr. old female from Madawaska Valley Twp. has been charged with Fail to Drive in Marked Lane, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a provincial offence act notice. The Ministry of Transportation was notified about the damaged guard rails.

Break and Enter

On Saturday April 1, 2017 at approximately 9:56 am, Killaloe OPP Constable Julie

McPeak received a break and enter call for service at the hazardous waste depot, Sand Road, Bonnechere Valley Twp. This investigation is continuing.
