Killaloe OPP Weekly Press Release

During the week of April 18, 2017, to April 23, 2017 there were 77 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

There were seven motor vehicle collisions, five were animal related.

There was one domestic dispute call for service, and no domestic disputes resulting in criminal code charges.

Assault Charge

On Tuesday April 18, 2017 at approximately 9:10 am, Killaloe OPP Constable John Thurston and Constable Mike Recoskie responded to an assault call for service on Kokomis Inamo, Pikwaknagan Ontario First Nation. As a result of police investigation 56 yr. old Roy ZOHR of North Algona Wilberforce Twp. has been charged with Assault contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe, Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 9:30 am.

Collision

On Friday, April 21, 2017, at approximately 2:00 am, Killaloe OPP responded to a single vehicle rollover collision on Combermere Road, Madawaska Valley Twp. The female driver and infant were transported to hospital by Renfrew County Ambulance as a precaution. The vehicle was towed. No charges were laid.

Obstruct Police, Personation Charge

On Tuesday April 18, 2017 at approximately 2:41 pm, Killaloe OPP Constable Devin Leeworthy and Constable Ryan Lapierre responded to an unwanted person call for service on Queen Street, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. As a result of police investigation, 19 yr. old Devin NORTH of Elizabethtown Twp. has been charged with Obstruct Police, and Personation, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe, Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 9:30 am. A second male, 24 yr. old Ryan GAUDIN of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. was charged with Public Intoxication, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act and released on Provincial Offence Act notice.
