KHATTARA – Drunk Driving

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Officers from the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment responded to a traffic complaint from a motorist travelling on Highway 11 North between Gravenhurst and Bracebridge on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 3:40 a.m. The offending motorist was driving erratically and a fellow motorist became concerned and took the time to call police.

Police located the vehicle a short time later on Highway 11 North near Cedar Lane in Bracebridge and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged 28 year-old Harsimrandeep KHATTARA of Orillia, ON with Impaired Operation CC 253(1)(a) and Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in his blood CC 253(1)(b). The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 29, 2016 to answer to his charges.

The accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and further had his vehicle towed and impounded.
