(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On March 4, 2016, just before 12:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the eastbound OnRoute Service Centre in Tilbury, where a male had reported a verbal altercation with another male.
Officers learned that the complainant, the driver of a tractor trailer, had allegedly been cut off by the male driver of another tractor trailer prior to stopping at the service centre. When both parties were inside the service centre, the suspect and complainant exchanged words, after which the suspect left the scene heading eastbound on Highway 401.
Officers located the vehicle shortly after and as a result of further investigation, 24-year-old Puneet KHANNA, from Brampton, has been charged with Unsafe Lane Change, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
No injuries were reported.
