(PEMBROKE, ON) – On July 28, 2015 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Highway Safety Division were conducting enforcement in the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP detachment area. An officer caught a vehicle travelling at a speed of 164 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Highway 17 in Laurentian Valley Township. The vehicle was stopped and as a result the driver, 57 year old Khalid MOHIUDDIN of North York, Ontario has been charged under the stunt driving legislation in the Highway Traffic Act. The man’s driver’s license was suspended for 7 days and his vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days. MOHIUDDIN was served a summons to appear on September 14, 2015 at the Ontario Provincial Offences Court in Pembroke.
