(ESSEX, ON) – On August 18, 2016 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Essex responded to a break and enter at the SX LAUNDROMAT in the 200 block of Talbot St. North in the Town of Essex, Ontario.
Two suspects compromised the exterior video surveillance camera, gained access to the roof, removing a roof vent and entered the laundromat. The suspects rummaged through the business, damaged a second security camera and Digital Video Recording (DVR) system, before being scared off by an audible alarm.
Through investigation, the OPP’s Essex County Street Crimes Unit has laid the following charges:
Kevin McCandless, age 37 of Windsor, Ontario has appeared in a Windsor, Ontario Court to answer to the charges of:
– Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
– Mischief Under $5000.
