(GUELPH, ON) – On September 17, 2016 at approximately 12:20 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) was conducting a R.I.D.E. program at Highway 6 and College Avenue, Guelph. Officers spoke with a man driving a 2008 Pontiac and believed that he had consumed alcohol. A road side screening test was done which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
41-year-old Kevin MARION of Brantford has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 14, 2016. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
