(Bancroft, Ontario) – On the night of the 16th of October 2015, shortly before 10:30 PM, police officers with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) observed a vehicle being driven in an irregular manner on New Carlow Road in the Township of Carlow-Mayo.
Police stopped the vehicle, and after speaking with the lone driver, determined that she was intoxicated by alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to the Bancroft O.P.P. detachment where she provided samples of her breath for analysis. Based on those breath samples, it was further determined that the driver had a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
Charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle; and Operate a Motor Vehicle with more than 80mgs of Alcohol in 100mls of Blood is 47 year old Kerry Lynn BEDARD of the Township of Carlow-Mayo. She was released on a Promise to Appear notice, with a first appearance date of the 17th of November 2015, in Bancroft Court.
