Kenneth Palmer – Drunk Driving, Speeding, No Insurance

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday March 22, 2012 shortly after 1 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was operating police radar along Hwy. 8 near the western boundary of Mitchell. A speeding vehicle was observed and subsequently pulled over. While the officer was speaking to the male driver the odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath.

A roadside breath test was administered which the driver failed. He also failed two subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests at the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville. The driver, Kenneth Palmer (47) of the Township of Perth South, has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”, “operate a motor vehicle without insurance”, and “speeding”. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on April 30, 2012 to answer to these charges. He was also issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his Ford F150 pickup truck was impounded for 7 days.
