(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A local male faces alcohol related charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single vehicle collision.
On January 28, 2014 OPP officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment attended a single vehicle collision on Northline Road. Upon arrival the officers determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of the investigation Kenneth FERRIER, 25 years of age, of Fenelon Falls was arrested and charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and with having care and control of a motor vehicle while having more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood contrary to the Criminal Code.
Further investigation revealed that the accused was suspended from driving and he was subsequently charged with that offence.
