On March 18, 2016 at approximately 9:40 pm police observed a southbound vehicle on County Rd. 15 in Augusta Township traveling more than 40 km’s over the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped on the 6th Concession in Augusta Township. While speaking with the driver police detected an odour of alcohol on his breath. The driver was given the roadside breath demand, failing the test he was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Prescott Detachment where he provided samples of his breath. The driver, a 70 year old male from Augusta Township was charged with Exceed .08 and is to appear in Brockville Court at a later date.
Theft

Town of Prescott
On March 15, 2016 just before 1:00 pm the victim of a theft left her purse behind as she exited a store in the Town of Prescott. She returned shortly afterwards to find that purse was gone. Investigation reveals that a male left the store with the purse and was seen putting the purse inside his jacket and leaving the area. Follow up investigation led to the arrest of a 37 year old male from Prescott. The purse and contents (minus cash) were recovered. The male is to appear in Brockville Court at a later date.
