Kemptville OPP Weekly Report

(Kemptville, ON.) – Between August 8th and August 14th, the Kemptville Office of North Grenville Ontario Provincial Police investigated 79 general occurrences: 26 Kemptville, 37 Municipality of North Grenville, 10 Village of Merrickville – Wolford and 6 on Highway 416.

On the evening of August 8th, police stopped a Honda Civic on County Road 44 in North Grenville for an expired validation tag. A 17 year old male from Ottawa was charged with being a Novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration over zero, having liquor in an open container and driving a motor vehicle without a validation tag.

On the evening of August 12th, a 21 year old male from North Grenville was assaulted at a residence on County Road 18, North Grenville resulting in serious bodily harm. Joshua John Michael Powell, age 26 of Kemptville is charged with failing to comply with a probation order, assault and assault causing bodily harm. The accused is to appear in Kemptville Court on October 5th, 2016.
