(NAPANEE, ON)- On Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 at 9:15 p.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Stop and Shop/ Video 99 located on Centre Street North in the Town of Greater Napanee.
A lone male brandishing a weapon entered the business and walked directly to the counter demanding money. The male fled on foot and was seen walking south after leaving the store.
On Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. a Frontenac OPP officer on patrol noticed a male person hitch-hiking on Sydenham Road that matched the description of the suspect.
The male was subsequently arrested and turned over to Detectives with the Napanee OPP Crime Unit.
Charged with Robbery with a Weapon contrary to Section 344(1)(b) is 22 year-old Keith HOLLETT of Napanee.
HOLLETT is appearing in Provincial Court today for a bail hearing.
