Keith ADAMS – Fraud and Firearms Charges

(LAMBTON COUNTY, ON) In June of 2013, the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigations Unit commenced an investigation into an attempted fraud of over $94 000. The investigation determined that a male attended a local financial institution and successfully opened up an account using a false identity.

On August 26, 2013 at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant on a residence located in the 1000 block of Finch Avenue in Pickering. The OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Durham Regional Police also assisted with the investigation. During the search, 10 long guns, 3 hand guns, assorted ammunition and a prohibited device were seized.

Keith ADAMS, who is 32 years old and from Pickering, has been charged with:

Fraud over $5000

Obtain or possess another person’s identity information (x 3)

Utter forged document (x 5)

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

Breach of Firearms Regulation (x 2)

He will appear in a Sarnia court on October 14, 2013 to answer to the fraud and property related charges and again in an Oshawa court on October 17, 2013 to answer to the firearms related charges.

Edward ADAMS, who is 67 years old and from Pickering, has been charged with two counts of Breach of Firearms Regulation and one count of Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device. He will appear in an Oshawa court on October 17, 2013 to answer to the charges.
