Keenan SUTHERLAND – Drunk Driving

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist with a drinking and driving related offence after observing a vehicle failing to stop at an intersection.

On January 18 2017 shortly after 10:30pm, an officer on patrols observed a vehicle fail to stop at the Peel Street and Collins Street intersection in Collingwood. The officer stopped the vehicle where interactions with the driver revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was subjected to a roadside breath test resulting in a ‘fail’ reading which led to his arrest and transport to detachment for processing.

Charged is 32 year-old Keenan SUTHERLAND of Collingwood, he is charged with Driving a Motor Vehicle With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood as well as a Highway Traffic Act offence of Disobey Stop Sign – Fail To Stop. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on February 7 2017.
