(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges against an 18 year old male from Goderich following an incident that took place July 26, 2014. Shortly before 9:30 p.m. officers responded to an alarm call at Goderich District Collegiate Institute (GDCI). Upon arrival at the high school officers observed damages to several windows and a door at the school. Also, it was discovered the suspect smashed out a window of a car that was parked inside the auto shop.
As the officers were speaking with the property caretaker they received information that the suspect was nearby on Bayfield Road attempting to break into a parked vehicle. Officers quickly arrived on scene, located and arrested the male.
As a result, 18 year old Kalin GODDARD from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is facing a charge of Break, Enter – Commit an Indictable Offence and three counts of Mischief Under $5,000.
