K9 Tracks Down Drunk Driver – Tyler Jay HATCHER

(QUINTE WEST, ON) On May 10, 2018 at approximately 10:18 P.M. officers from the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Gallivan Road, in the City of Quinte West for a single motor vehicle collision.

The driver of the motor vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene on foot into the bush. OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP K9 responded to the incident assisting in locating and arresting the driver.

Tyler Jay HATCHER, a 22 year old male from Quinte West, was arrested and charged with:

Driving While Ability Impaired S. 253(1)(a) CCC

Driving with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood S. 253(1)(b) CCC

Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident S. 252(1.1) CCC

HATCHER is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on May 24, 2018 at 15 Bridge Street West, Belleville, Ontario.
