(LAIRD TWP, ON) – The officers with Thessalon and Sault Ste-Marie Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Sault Ste-Marie Police Service K9 Unit are currently looking for a male suspect who fled from police after a report of theft of gas earlier this morning.
The suspect fled from his vehicle and into the bush at the border of Laird Townhip and Tarbutt Additional Township. The male is described as 5’9 – 5’10, thin build, short dark hair and clean shaven. He is believed to be in his 30’s and wearing a black hat and blue hooded sweatshirt.
Police are advising the local residents if they observe this individual to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 or by calling 911.
