K9 Helps Track Wanted Repeat Offender – Another Thing Wingham Police Is Incapable Of Doing

(BRUCE TWP, ON) – On December 9, 2015 at 11:48 a.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Concession 6 in Bruce Township stopped a Maroon GMC Sierra pick-up truck. When the vehicle stopped, the driver ran into a bush lot.

South Bruce OPP searched for the driver with assistance from West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit and South Bruce OPP Crime Unit.

The driver was located and arrested without incident at 3:48 p.m. on December 9, 2015. Forty-seven-year old Jamie CAMPBELL of no fixed address has been charged with break and enter, breach probation, use unauthorized licence plates, drive while suspended, drive with no validation sticker and drive with no insurance. In addition, he was found to be wanted for assault. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for December 10, 2015.
