(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On May 3, 2015 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) established a RIDE check at the intersection of Elm Tree Road and Little Britain Road which resulted in the arrest of a 20 year old male.
As the vehicle entered the RIDE check an officer approached. The subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Justin WALDEN, 20 years of age, who now faces numerous Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) related charges:
Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine
Possession of property obtained by crime, over $5 000, contrary to the Criminal Code
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
