(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On November 17, 2016, at 9:45 a.m., the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle weaving and speeding on Highway 400 in McDougall Township.
Police began an extensive search for the vehicle and located it on Horseshoe Lake Road in Seguin Township. Police spoke with the driver and during the interaction an officer became aware of the presence of drugs within the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation,
Justin PROULX, 28 years of age from North Bay was arrested and charged with;
Use Adult Credit Card Data, contrary to section 342(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC
Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC
Possession of a Schedule I Substance, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Instrument For Use In Copying Credit Cards, contrary to section 342.01(1)(a) of the CC
Instrument for Fraudulently Obtaining Use of Computer, contrary to section 342.2 of the CC X2
Forgery of Credit Card, contrary to section 342(1)(b)
Fail to Comply With Undertaking, contrary to section 145(3) of the CC
Fail to Comply With Probation Order, contrary to section 733.1(1) X2
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
