(GODERICH, ON) – Yesterday afternoon around 3:00 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted the driver of a Hyundai Sonata talking on his cell phone. The driver was stopped on Huron Road near Suncoast Drive for the distracted driving offence. After identifying the driver it was learned the driver was driving with a suspended driver’s licence.
As a result, 40 year old Justin HOFFMAN, from Kitchener has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle While Using a Hand Held Wireless Device and Driving While Under Suspension. He has a court appearance scheduled for Provincial Offences Court on April 1, 2014. The rental vehicle he was driving has been impounded for seven days.
