(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 2, 2015 at approximately 4:28 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2009 Infinity on Wellington 18 near the Third Line in Centre Wellington Township for a driving offence.
While speaking with the driver, police detected the strong odour of alcohol on her breath and noted obvious signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to a local OPP Operation Centre for further testing.
The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
55-year-old Joyce REIMER has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 26, 2015 to answer to her charges.
